BFFs Nicole Byer (Nailed It) and Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live) bring their popular Earwolf podcast Best Friends to the Largo stage. It’s so fun to hear these two talk about everything from dating to movies and TV on their podcast, so their energy together on stage is sure to be #squadgoals (are we still saying that?). And just maybe they’ll bring some of their other friends up on stage at the Largo, too.

Choreographer George Balanchine created a series of ballets in the 1960s for jewelry designer Van Cleef & Arpels, all themed around different jewels – diamonds, emeralds, and rubies (some early innovative branded content!). The fourth entry, Sapphires, set to music by Arnold Schoenberg, was never finished. But lucky us, American Contemporary Ballet imagines this unfinished ballet, performing it through the end of the month in celebration of what would be the composer’s 150th birthday.

National Rosé Day hits a fever pitch this year with two events to sample dozens of varieties of pink wine.

You can spend a sunny (hopefully) Saturday in Calabasas with a headlining set from Anderson .Paak (performing as DJ Pee Wee) on the King Gillette Ranch grounds, and surrounded by every type of rosé you can name: French, Californian, Frozen and even non-alcoholic. The day is a whole festival with music, brand experiences, photo ops, art installations, giant games and food curated by Next Iron Chef champion Marc Forgione.

Or make your way to Venice where Rose Ave (how apropos) is hosting Rosé on Rose, bringing restaurants and retailers together for rosé specials, tastings, food deals, art, live music, local artisan vendors, and two unique VIP Rosé Garden tasting experiences, all raising funds for the Venice Family Clinic.

    Peaco*ck

Why do we live in L.A. if not to go to experiential marketing pop-ups for niche TV shows? Peaco*ck cult hit Traitors is such a bizarre sleeper smash that we're sure the show’s avid fans will brave the Grove. The event information says there will be “tea spilled” at the recreation of the show’s Scottish Highlands castle garden through fan experiences and trivia, meme bingo, and The Traitor Test, plus a panel at 1:45 p.m. with stars Kate Chastain, Trishelle Cannatella, and Parvati Shallow. No Alan Cumming though, unfortunately.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since Run Lola Run swept the indie world. The German film follows Lola (Franka Potente) in a mad dash to find the 100,000 Deutchmarks (1998 was pre-Euro, friends!) that will save her boyfriend from certain death after losing the money he was supposed to deliver. The action-packed film won the 1998 Audience Award at Sundance and inspired many pop culture moments, including the visuals for Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life” music video in 2000. Over at Vanity Fair, Anthony Brezican chronicles the unlikely hit’s history. Potente joins film critic Scott Mantz for back-to-back Q&As.
