It’s finally happening! My home state is finally about to be recreational. One of the reasons why I left Ohio a decade ago was because of their strict conservative viewpoints on the plant. Love to see times changing and I hope that Ohio doesn’t screw this up!! 🤣 can’t wait to connect with Ohio brands and operators!

I will see you at the golf and charity event. Excited to bring Ohio AU cannabis industry online. They already do almost $500M just in medical. SO going to be a Billion dollar market very quickly.

I left Ohio back in 2017 for that exact reason, excited to see the market grow back home.

Haven’t been active on here much lately but you can count on me for honesty and transparency. I used to find LinkedIn so useful for finding new clients. Sadly, the amount of operators building half ass, masculine stoner lounges instead of normalized public consumption venues is astonishing but I guess not surprising. These licenses are mostly in the wrong hands. I’ve turned down way too many projects that have come my way bc:1. Their whole team is men and claim they don’t need help but send me poor decks and plans that have barely been thought through 2. Have poor operating partners with bad reputations or don’t make sense for the project 3. Have already Built out their venue or started construction without a concept 4. Aren’t prioritizing actual revenue steams and think they can open for education and events 5. Think they can only raise a fraction of what they need and get by cutting corners. This is hospitality, yall. We’re not just selling weed. Cannabis consumers deserve better. Dispensary owners don’t know how to build experiences and sadly… it shows. Perhaps the real feat will be when hospitality operators come in and take over, pushing out the cannabis guys. As much as we wanted to prevent that at first, it might be the only way this sector of the industry actually elevates and develops into what it needs to become. One thing is for sure, the cannabis industry is failing this part of the sector once again. Ironically, As much as we love to consume, we seem to be neglecting consumption related business altogether.

Unfortunately, I will not be attending Benzinga in FL this year after all. As much as I love the cannabis industry, I’ve been given an opportunity in hospitality that helps me focus on new revenue outlets. Cannabis is hard ya’ll… don’t feel bad about doing other things while navigating this crazy industry. It feels fantastic for your mental health and people outside of the cannabis industry are so nice and optimistic and happy! I’m not giving up on cannabis hospitality. We love it here. I'm just refocusing some of my time as it’s no secret that cannabis is relatively cheap and poor (I mean... where is the lie?). It’s difficult being early to the party, and I wanna make sure I can stick around before it gets good. 😊 Rachel Burkons is going in my place to represent The Cannabis Hospitality Coalition (which we will have more info on in a few months) and will be joining the panel on High Sprits with some amazing people on the main stage at 1:20pm on April 17th. Stop by and say hey to her! I hope everyone has a great conference!

    * Proud sister moment! *When Kevin Stewart moved to LA 6 years ago he told me numerous times, "I'm going to be on Million Dollar Listing and work for The Agency RE". While I had faith in him, every burnt-out bottle service girl and male model in LA does RE, and the market here is very cutthroat. When he went to interview, he was not only the youngest person in the room, but also one of the most experienced, having sold 12 houses in Ohio before moving to LA. This, along with Kev's bubbly and charismatic personality won him the job. It's a wrap from there!Kevin was featured in the background of several Million Dollar Listing episodes, but he got into the spotlight on Buying Beverly Hills season 1. As a supporting character on the show, the drama with his girlfriend at the time ended up being the biggest drama of the whole season.Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills came out this weekend and our family and friends sat around the TV and watched Kevin in episodes 2,4,8 and 9! This time, Kevin gets to showcase the house he bought and sold last year, is called "The Golden Child" many times, and sells our childhood friend Luke Kennard’s house before being traded to Memphis. I am so proud of my brother and often tease him considering I was the first in my family to get my RE license. You're welcome Kevin. If you enjoy reality tv, check out Kevin and some of his friends on Buying Beverly Hills on Netflix streaming now!
