Protective shifters and the strong but fragile women

Jessica, a human zoologist, is selected for an exchange program at Exotic Rescue run by Teddy, billionaire bear shifter, and his pack mates. As the story progresses they start off on the wrong foot, a better mood is found, and finding the truth could derail all the forward progress they made. Leela Ash and Pamela Avery have added to the paranormal world of protective shifters and the strong but fragile women they love with Damaged Billionaire Bear Daddy. In this book we see the shifters in Angel Springs, FL and their Exotic Rescue take center stage in a fight on a few fronts. The characters created an immediate connection for this reader. I look forward to seeing the rest of the Pack get a chance for a happy ending and where the various battles take them.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Theodore owns the Exotic Rescue which is part animal sanctuary and part a rescue of sorts for shifters. He and his eclectic group of friends that are family to him operate it with as much secrecy as they can. To avert suspicion, Theodore starts an exchange program with other rescues and zoos which brings Jessica and her kids to the rescue. The town is suspicious of what goes on at the rescue and someone is out to get them. The story is full of action, has some steam and Theodore's daughter and Jessica's children provide the smiles. I adored the kids. I liked that Jessica was a scientist and did not back down to others. Theodore was strong yet vulnerable which tugged at the heartstrings. The other guys are also damaged from events in the past and it will be interesting to see how they get their HEA.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Damaged Billionaire Daddy Bear by Leela Ash and Pamela Avery is the first book in the Exotic Pack Shifters series. I enjoyed this read. It was fast paced and had action, snarky interactions, steamy love scenes (Mature Readers Only) and great characters. I really liked that this quick read had an interesting twist on shifters helping shifters. There is a twist that the story takes that definitely caught me... it turned out to be nothing like what I expected. A fun anytime read that will get you interested in reading more of the series.

This is a great suspense filled paranormal romance story. When single no! Jessica gets to work as part of an exchange program at Exotic animals place she's so excited but she has a breakdown outside of the town she needs to go through to get to the preserve a man stops an when he sees her kids offers to help her.She gets running again when he asks where she's headed. After he hears where she's going his whole friendliness goes out the window as he says She doesn't know what she's getting into. When the Alpha Connor says they are to be a part of exchange program his fellow shifters an friends aren't really happy. Jessica makes it to talk to him an for some reason the guy is so attractive she feels an animal like attraction to him .There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain.this is a great paranormal shifter romance story.

Loved it. Well written and recommended. He runs a sanctuary for animals with others. He watched a horrific event years ago and that is why he built it. To protect shifters in any way he can. She wants away from her cheating ex so she ends up at this sanctuary with her kids snooping around. Determined to find out what is going on. But they have this growing attraction. even though he is trying to hide things from her. What trouble is coming their way that they don't see? I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.

A great read. I do love a good shifter book. Not the first book I have read by this author. This is centred around the exotic Rescue, owned by Theodore Cooper. Something is brewing in the town and a person has a secret that he thinks noone else knows. Jessica is at the rescue after years of research and it may cure cancer in humans. Someone in town thinks it time the secret is given up so they can be powerful. A great read and I loved Theodore's daughter, Carla. Can't wait for the next book to come out.

Leela Ash has written a 5-star book. Theodore is a billionaire bear shifter and owner of Exotic Rescue. Theodore runs the rescue with 5 more shifters. Connor is a dragon, Michael is a wolf, Jonathan is a black puma, Darryl is a tiger, and Justin is a lion. Jessica is there for a work program. On her way in with her kids, Arizona and Kal. She has car trouble and Roy is the one who stops to help her. When Jessica and Theodore meet, they do not get along. There is an attraction between them, but Theodore reminds Jessica too much of her ex-husband Patrick. When Jessica goes to pick up her kids from the daycare center, she meets Carla, Theodore's daughter. She does not know that Carla is Theodore's daughter yet. Things get a little hot between Jessica and Theodore and he takes advantage of it any time he can. Carla, Arizona, and Kal come up with a plan to get their parents together. They are hiding and unknown to them there are three men watching them. One of the men grabs Carla and she screams. Jessica comes out of the house when she hears the scream and sees some man holding Carla. She tells the man to let her go. Another man grabs Jessica and when he does, she brings her foot down hard on his but she doesn't hurt him. She turns around and pokes the man in the eyes. She picks up a rock and hits the man that grabbed her and he goes out cold. At about the same time Carla bites the man holding her and the man throws Carla off him. She hits the ground and passes out. Jessica calls Theodore and he answers on the first ring. "You're in danger, aren't you?"Where are you?" "Home." she cried. In less than a minute, Theodore is there yelling "Jessica?" with Connor and Michael at his side. He rushes to Jessica and pulls her into his arms. "What happened?" "Are you all right?" She looks at him and then to where Carla is. Theodore rushes over to where Carla is laying on the ground and picks her up. "Baby?" Baby?" He looks over at Connor and Connor said I'll get Jonathan to look at her. Theodore runs to the house with Jessica and the kids behind him. Kal runs and opens the door for Theodore. Jonathan is there and he checks Carla out and tells Theodore that she is fine. She would be a little sore but she has no concussion, the bad news is you going to have to play nursemaid and wait on her hand and foot for a while, and she is going to love it. The kids had come up with a plan to get Jessica and Theodore together and Kal calls Theodore Dad and Carla calls Jessica Mom.
Will Jessica and Theodore get together or will she leave?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Theodore runs Exotic Rescue that helps shifters heal. He also helps regular animals. He opens his refuge to outside scientists in order to try and show that he has nothings to hide. Jessica is one of the scientists that arrives for the exchange program. She has two children and Theodore has a daughter. This is important since the kids decide that their respective parents would be better off married so that Carla can have a new mother and Kal and Arizona can have a new father. Doesn't hurt that Theodore and Jessica have an immediate attraction to one another despite their first few antagonizing meetings.

Despite Jessica thinking that Theodore is doing experiments on the animals in his care and Theodore thinking that Jessica is a spy for his enemy, Roy, their ups and downs make for a very entertaining story. The best part is that the kids get their wish and Jessica and Theodore are planning their wedding.

Good story and start to the series.

I really liked the premise of this series, but I just couldn't get into this story as much as I wanted to. The kids were probably the best and most appealing characters, but their mom and dad annoyed me.

Spoiler alert: There were a lot of steamy scenes for characters who didn't seem to trust each other much. In fact, Theodore was convinced that Jessica worked for his biggest enemy in town. And then suddenly, he can't live without her, and she isn't fazed when she is accused of working with the enemy? I know that this is fantasy, but that just doesn't ring true to me. All 3 kids, his and hers, were adorable however.

The pace was breakneck and the tone was more uncertain than hopeful. The storyline was character oriented with some really steamy scenes and some action. The main characters were okay, but the kids were the stars for me. I have liked other stories by Leela Ash and Pamela Avery, so I will keep going with the series and hope I can get into it more.

This story has well-drawn characters and an interesting premise but the flow is a little jerky. Theodore runs an animal rescue park that is a cover for shifter aid. Jessica is a researcher who lands a job at the rescue when Theodore decides to invite interns as a way to deflect the town's distrust and rumors. What he didn't count on was Jessica's kids becoming BFF's with his treasured daughter nor her insatiable curiosity and sense of doing what is right. The two are off to a rocky start from the first meeting but chemistry wins out until fear of betrayal and an ever-growing threat put them at odds. The antagonist comes out of left field and his motivations are difficult to believe even after his downfall. The romance also seemed a bit rushed. Overall, this was a good read but not one of this author's best.

Jessica is a single mum and a scientist who is going to work at the Exotic Rescue a place that Jessica has no idea that is run by shifters but along the way people were nice to her but when they found out where she was going the people turned cold against her. Theodore and his shifter brothers started the sanctuary for shifters he’s also a bear shifter and a single dad and when he first met Jessica there was a spark but she was rude to him and he knew that it wasn’t personal he could see that she was a woman in pain but their exchanges were not so friendly when Jessica accused Theodore of experimenting with the animals. There is so much more going on in this story but that’s all I’m going to give, I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Theodore runs Exotic Rescue, along with several other shifters - to help wounded shifters heal and return to their lives. Jessica has come to work for a while at the rescue and they start to feel things for each other. Their kids start to plan on getting their parents together for the long term, while Roy (vampire) tries to thwart the rescue efforts at every turn. The romance get very heated and the emotions are intense. Miscommunication and omission of some truths caused trust issues, but those were soon removed. The story has quite the diversity of shifter animals, up to a dragon and lion. Theodore is a bear and he is pretty adorable in how he loves his family. Terrific story and would love to read more about this place.

Jessica comes to the Exotica Rescue for an exchange program. She's there to study and learn about the place for her job. Teddy is the leader of the place and sparks fly between them when they meet. Jessica's kids bond with Teddy's daughter and the kids immediately start planning how to get their parents together. Jessica is confused by how others in the community talk about the place but she gets a shock when she sees one the men shift into a dragon. Will Teddy being a shifter cause problems for them? Can he see that Jessica isn't against him?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Theodore Cooper is the owner of Exotic Rescue dedicated to protecting animals, especially “his kind” (shifters), and provides an animal sanctuary. He and his friends try to keep the shifter part hidden. But to avoid suspicion which brings more attention, he sets up an exchange program where outsiders can come in and contribute their skills while helping the rescue.

Jessica and her children arrive and she and Theodore do not have a good start together. But as they work with each other, and with the help of both of their children, they begin to get closer. But trouble is lurking in the town and it’s coming their way to threaten everything. Will Jessica and Theodore work together to protect the Exotic Rescue? Will they defeat the evil coming for them?

Theodore and several other shifters own and run an exotic safe haven for shifters and other animals. They save them from injuries, predators, hunters, and other things. In the town where they reside, vamps also live there as well. Theodore invited some scientists for a six-week stay to work and study at the location. The others disagree with the move. One scientist, Jessica was coming with her two children. Instant dislike and attraction between Theodore and Jessica spell heaps of trouble, especially when the three children develop their own agenda. An enemy is making problems for the safe haven and those in it. Who and why? What will happen in the end with Jessica and Theodore? I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

NEVER BELIEVE WHAT YOU HEAR AND HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

Jessica is a single mom and a scientist that studies abnormalities in exotic animals. Theodore is a grieving single father who has seen too many horrors directed at shifters. Jessica gets a job at Theodore’s exotic animal rescue compound. She doesn’t know that Theodore is a bear or that his compound is for shifters. Theodore has an enemy, a man named Roy. Jessica can’t figure out why everyone in town hates Theodore and the rumors that he tortures the animals on his compound. Things get out of hand while things heat up between Jessica and Theodore. Their children want them to be a family.

This book was about two people who had their hearts broken by former loves. Jessica’s ex husband cheated on her and left her and their two children. Theodore’s mate left him and their daughter. The two meet at Exotic Rescue, the wild animal sanctuary ran by Theodore and his closest friends. I really like the sanctuary idea to protect shifters. Without it, Jessica would have never met Theodore who is a bear shifter. They don’t get off on the right foot but luckily their kids help pull them together. This book has strong world building and characters. Sometimes the flow was choppy but the story was still enjoyable. Ash & Avery created great characters that I want to learn more about, especially Connor the dragon shifter.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Theodore felt the need to provide any protection he could for shifters so he created Exotic Rescue. Jessica has come to do a work exchange with them. What happens when a big teddy bear meets the human of his and his bears dreams? Sparks fly between the two. This story has drama, suspense, danger, lust and love. When he and Jessica get past the threat, they will have a happy future. I enjoyed the emotion and steam this book. I look forward to reading more books by Leela

A fantastic plot that keeps you guessing from beginning to end! It starts with a misunderstanding that causes hurt feelings and dislike! Their feelings grow and change thanks to three wonderful children! Now the children are playing matchmaker, uh oh! What to do as doubts, anger, and misunderstandings grow, and so do their feelings ? You feel their emotions as they struggle with anger, betrayal, secrets, suspense, and love? Will the truth set them free or destroy them? Will the children get their wish? Danger and evil are stalking them? She may be human, but she is a mama, dont touch the children! Lots of excitement ahead!
